Not a 5 star hotel but clean, cheap and really nice staff
I love the staff the rooms are reasonable and they have everything you need in the store for a reasonable price the stay is wonderful ,
Please don't be put off by reviews of several years ago. This motel is under new management, and Mark, the owner, is doing everything to make it a pleasant, comfortable, reasonably priced, convenient place to stay. Many renovations are underway, with more to come. We are fans of smaller, Mom and Pop type roadside motels, the kind that are sadly disappearing. We were lucky to find this place, and had a great 3 night stay. Our room was refurbished, with new carpet, fresh paint, comfortable beds, and great hot water. A few small issues were addressed, and corrected immediately by Mark. He truly cares about his guests. We were traveling with our Greyhounds for an event, and the motel is very pet friendly. Being able to walk out our door and on to a large grassy area for the dogs was much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay, and would return to the Western Inn if we are in Gettysburg.
This place was awesome and the new managers Mark and his wife are the best people. I'm all over the country and definitely one of the best places I've been to yet. No matter what the old reviews said he has done an excellent job renovating the place. The rooms were very clean. I am a trucker and had to back from the road but he's also building a lot for truckers and a campsite in the back of the motel. This motel is nothing like the past reviews at all and The motel is currently in the process to be listed on Gettysburgs tourist spot. A tenant named James whose house across the street burned is an awesome guy who will take you on a free tour or ghost hunt. I'd just give him a tip which is not required. Everything is being remodeled and the price is great considering the rest around here. Also it's across the street from a very haunted school where they also take you on tours. It's in the battlefield area and I'm a well known ghost hunter and I got some amazing ghosts activity in room 15 and at James's place. It's peaceful and quiet and clean! And the people are great there. I will definitely be returning. AKA the ghost whisperer
